APA's Rising Psychiatry Scholars Program (RPSP) is a one-year program offering current undergraduates at an accredited U.S. community college or two-year Tribal College an introduction into the exciting field of psychiatry. RPSP participants will receive MCAT preparation materials, career development opportunities, educational sessions, mentorship, and networking opportunities at APA's Annual Meeting.
RPSP aims to decrease barriers of access in applying to medical school for under-represented minorities (URMs) and to increase the amount of URMs interested in creating social change through a career in psychiatry.
