After having just uploaded oh…hundreds of photos from my camera after the BlogHer conference (give me one mojito and suddenly everything looks like a good picture) I can’t sing the praises of the Eye-Fi wireless memory cards enough. Especially since they’ve added the Mobile X2 to their collection.

The Eye-Fi Mobile X2 Wireless Memory Card is every shutterbug’s Jetsons-esque dream. It works with over 2000 kinds of cameras, and now you can not just send photos wirelessly to your computer once you’ve installed the simple software, you can do it to your tablet or your smartphone too. How great is that?

The best part is you don’t even need a wi-fi connection. The wi-fi is built right into the card.

It holds 8MB of photos so it’s no slouch in the memory department, should you be (like me) the type who forgets to download. Although if you do take more than 4000 photos at once–the max it can hold–at least you can send them to your Flickr page, Kodak Gallery, Photobucket Account, Facebook page and so on, then clear it and start over.

The Eye-Fi Mobile X2 is pricy at just under 80 bucks, but it’s pretty great, especially with the social sharing. It even works with apps like Instagram and Hipstamatic on both iPhone and Android phones. Like a software-hardware-app love triangle. Awesome. –Liz
