Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, the American Psychiatric Association is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Physicians: The APA designates this live activity for a maximum of 17.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nurses: The American Psychiatric Association (APA) designates this activity for 17.5 Nursing contact hours. Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Psychologists: Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.
Social Workers: As a Jointly Accredited Organization, American Psychiatric Association (APA) is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. APA maintains responsibility for this course. Social workers completing this course receive 17.5 continuing education credits courses and master courses, general sessions, presidential sessions, and various other formats. Credit is earned on an hour-for-hour basis.
The APA provides CE certificates for physicians, psychologists, nurses and social workers, and a certificate of participation other mental health professionals. The overall scientific program provides a broad range of interprofessional CE presentations, which include courses and master courses, general sessions, presidential sessions, and various other formats. All registrant categories are eligible for continuing education credits.

CME Evaluation
Participants will be given the opportunity to evaluate and provide feedback on the quality and value of their learning experience. Course directors and program planners will use this information for future activities. CME credit for APA members completing the evaluation will be recorded at education.psychiatry.org. Credits must be claimed by December 27, 2024.

The Mental Health Services Conference is designed for anyone delivering mental health services - particularly those serving on a multidisciplinary mental health team: psychiatrists, primary care and other physicians, medical students and residents, nurses, physician assistants, psychologists, addiction counselors, social workers, medical educators, administrators and policymakers, public health researchers, consumers, and family members.
